Achievements in Merit Assembly

Every week we have a Merit Assembly in which our children’s many achievements are celebrated.

Year 1: Rio Maggs for excellent reading.
Year 2: Anna Bailes for excellent presentation and handwriting.
Year 3: Matthew Rutherford for beautiful handwriting.
Year 4: Laura Huddart for excellent artwork for the Anglo-Saxon display.
Year 5: Cameron Purvis for good behaviour.
Year 6: Shannon Galsworthy for having an excellent attitude to her
school work.
Mrs Hetherington’s Award: Sophie Johnson for listening carefully and remembering
lots of details.
Head teacher’s Award: Year 5 for leading the Ash Wednesday liturgy so well.

Attendance Award: Year 6

Winning House: St. Benet

I think Merit Assembly is a great idea. If sombody gets an award, they know they have to keep their good work up. For those who don't win, they try harder so that they can get an award next time.

I think Merit assembly is great, getting certificates makes you really proud of yourself and when your class wins the attendance that is good too. I also like it when we find out which house got the most merits.

I think Merit Assembly is a great idea because it feels great if you win anything, even though my class, year 5, haven't won the attendance once this year!!
