Year 4 enjoyed their trip to BEDE'S WORLD.
To support our History work on the topic of Anglo Saxons, we enjoyed a full day visit to Bede's World in Jarrow.
The morning was spent in the monastery and church grounds. We all dressed in monk's habits as we heard about the life of Bede.
After lunch we explored the Anglo Saxon farm and discovered more about the animals and their uses to the Anglo Saxon people. We also went into a replica house and discussed how they might have lived.
As ever, our class were enthusiastic and well-behaved.

I loved the trip at Bede's world because it was interesting to see what the Anglo- Saxon's houses looked like and we learnt more things about Anglo-Saxons.

I loved Bede's World when we got to dress up as monks in the monastery.

Bede's World was great. I liked dressing up as a monk and i liked learning about Bede.

I thought the the trip to Bede's World was fun. I enjoyed when you got dressed up as a monk. We felt different objects and we found out about Bede and the clothes that the Anglo Saxons wore.

I enjoyed Bede's World. The best was going in the houses where the Anglo-Saxons lived!

It was fun to go to Bede's World because we visited an Anglo-Saxon house and we got to see the animals which we were learning about. After lunch we played on the field outside and had a run about.

I loved Bede's world because we got to wear monks' habits. We got to look at the farm animals which we talked and learned about. We also saw what the archaeologist thought the Anglo-Saxon houses were like. It was a really fun day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
