As part of the School Linking Network, Year 4 from Brighton Avenue Primary School visited St Alban's Year 4 this week. In the morning they listened to Mr Glickman from the Gateshead Jewish community talking about the synagogue. They also worked with Susie, a story-teller, on a tale about Hannukah. In the afternoon they were very busy making mezuzahs, havdalah candles, tasting Jewish food and sketching artefacts. Many of the children have become friends and we are sure we will keep in contact with Brighton Avenue.
