As part of our Comenius links, we have started writing a chain story that will eventually be passed onto Spain, Italy and finally to Turkey.
For homework, Year 5 and 6 have been busy writing the next chapter of a chain story. These talented writers received prizes for their stories- well done!

Year 3 and 4 put us all into the 'Christmas mood' as they treated us to a selection of Christmas songs and carols. We were wowed by solo performances from Isaac, Nikhil, Faye, Emily and Rachel.
"I really loved the Year 3 and 4 singing the 12 days of Christmas. They were so good at all the actions!" Gemma Bainbridge.
"I really loved Rudolf the Red Nosed reindeer!" Nathan Young.

Tonight, the Guitar club and Year 4 played to a jam-packed audience.
"My personal favourite was Jingle Bells". Miss McVittie.
Year 4 only started Guitar tuition at the beginning of the school year so we were particularly impressed with their playing. Bravo!

During Advent children will have the opportunity to take home a crib and share it with their family.
These Year 6 children took a crib home at the weekend. They sat around the crib with their families, lit a candle, read the Nativity Story and said a prayer.

Year 6 have been working very hard to write and create our own newsreels. Today we worked with 2 film makers from The Tyneside Cinema and had a fantastic time filming our newsreels about the Second World War.
Here we are above using the Chroma Key screen to recreate a Rationing scene.
